About the event

A céilí (pronounced KAY-lee) is a traditional Irish social dance gathering; think group dances done in circles, lines, or pairs, guided step-by-step by a "caller" who walks everyone through the moves as the music plays. This céilí is all of that, but with some modifications.

We’ll dance to traditional Irish music at a slower, more comfortable pace, and use classic Irish dances with modifications so everyone can join in safely and confidently. Our caller, Marjorie Hopkins, has over a decade of experience teaching Irish dance and is a passionate advocate for adaptive, inclusive dancing.

No partner or prior experience is needed; céilís have always been about community members of all ages and skill levels moving together and enjoying each other's company.

This event is for families, individuals, and friends alike, whether you're dancing for the first time or have years of experience, and whether or not disability is part of…
