Ceili Agus Ceol (Dance and Music)

Join the IRL Festival for a night of dancing and live music by The O'Deadly's and the Grand River Ceili Band plus friends! Enjoy some traditional Irish dancing by Kaleidoscope Studio!

Ceili dancing is highly encouraged with your group and no experience is necessary. Wear comfy shoes and follow our caller for a whole lot of fun!

Children 10 & under free! (Please 'purchase' children's tickets for capacity tracking.)

We are very excited to offer this event in person for the first time since March 2020! Please be advised that this event will be held outdoors in a covered area.  Everyone must show proof of vaccination and wear a mask when not at your table. We appreciate your understanding as we strive to keep our volunteers, performers and fellow attendees well. Sláinte!

From neighbourhood pubs to the Ireland Fund of Canada, The O'Deadlys have lit up the room, large or small, with anything from traditional Celtic songs & tunes to contemporary hits everyone knows and loves. Ayron Mortley (vocals & guitar) and Lindsey O'Connell (vocals, accordion, whistles & harmonica) lead this talented group and are joined by Olivier St-Maurice on fiddle, vocals & 5-string banjo as well as Josh Hicks on percussion & vocals.

Kaleidoscope Studio is a small arts studio in Kitchener focused on Irish dance and culture, where Marjorie Hopkins is the owner and instructor. From the time Marjorie started walking, she was dancing. She began Irish dance at the age of 7 and has continually expanded her dance repertoire. Currently, she is pursuing an MA in Irish Dance Studies through the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick. She loves traditional repertoire and sharing it with others.
