Celtic Illuminated Letters Class

 Join David Rankine in this fun exploration of Illuminated Letter designs and try your hand!  This easy method will de-mystify the amazing pages of that great Irish manuscript, the Book of Kells.  After this class, you will never take another letter for granted!    Celtic Knots class is an excellent pre-requisite (but not absolutely necessary).   All levels of experience welcome!

Please bring a pencil, fine-tip marker and colouring pencils, fine markers or other colour medium of their choice.

David Rankine

For almost 40 years, David Rankine has been at the forefront of the Celtic Visual Arts revival in Canada. Heavily inspired by the master artists of the Book Of Kells, David has applied his extensive knowledge of sacred art and design to his very contemporary works of Celtic Art.  His artworks have been collected internationally and extend into the areas of book covers, CD covers and rug and jewellery design.  David is also an educator and musician (playing Mountain Dulcimer, Highland Pipes and Small Pipes) and the creator of 10 CDs of original music and numerous books and articles.
