About the event
The Mandolin and the Irish Banjo (4 - string) are tuned the same, except that the banjo is an octave lower. We'll explore how these two instruments are used in Irish music. We'll look at a few types of tunes (e.g. jigs, reels) and will explore melodies as well as accompaniment possibilities.
Beginner and intermediate players are invited to join in.
This class is PWYC (PayWhatYouCan) with a suggested minimum of $25.
Please bring your own instrument or check out the instrument library at the Kitchener Public Library or Long & McQuade for rentals.
All attendees get a 10% discount coupon on food to use downstairs at the TWH Social! The elevator will take you right down to the restaurant.
