About the event
The Celtic Peoples have a deep love of trees. There is a respect that everything in the natural world possessed innate value and was owed the duty of care that was for all people and living beings. This deeply held belief was at the core of Celtic philosophy. Trees had personalities, medical properties, and function and form that fulfilled life for the whole community. People formed relationships with the trees growing in the community as they shared the struggles of the people and were impacted by the forces of nature and politics. They shared a common destiny and thus were protected and cared for as significant in the story of the gathered who formed tribes and clans.
The early Celtic spiritual leaders, Druids, knew the trees well. They recognized that a forest as a sacred place. Let us guide you in an exploration of the sacred through the teachings of Celtic Spirituality in your own neighbourhood. Resources will be available before the event to guide you in this connecting with the sacred around you.
