Join us for a discussion exploring the history of the relationship between the First Nations peoples and the Irish Immigrants with Professor Mark McGowan (University of St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto). From famine to compassion, we will be guided through this story that spans multiple generations and parallel histories of colonization. A short question and answer period to follow.

Dr. Mark G. McGowan is a Professor of History and Celtic Studies at the University of Toronto, and former Deputy Chair of the History Department.
