About the event
Céilí dancing has been at the heart of Irish gatherings for centuries. They are a joyful way to celebrate, connect, and share in community. The IRL Festival is proud to host an Adapted Céilí, created especially so that dancers of all abilities can take part.
We’ll dance to traditional Irish music at a slower, more comfortable pace, and use classic Irish steps with modifications so everyone can join in safely and confidently. Our caller, Marjorie Hopkins, has over a decade of experience teaching Irish dance and is a passionate advocate for adaptive, inclusive dancing.
This event is for everyone – individuals, friends, and families – whether you’re dancing for the first time or have years of experience. Dance is for every body, and we can’t wait to welcome you to the floor to share the joy of Irish dance!
