About the event
Join us for our first ever Ceili at home! Grab comfortable shoes, a few square feet and join in! This free event will get you moving with steps taught by Deirdre Nally with fantastic live music by Fiona McCairley and MIka McCairley Greenwell . Almost as good as being htere in person!
Fiona McCairley holds an honours degree in music as a classically trained clarinettist with the Guelph Symphony Orchestra. She is also an award-winning fiddler and Director of the Guelph Celtic Orchestra. She is an experienced instructor of music and is available for lessons and gigs.
Mika McCairley Greenwell is a champion Ottawa Valley stepdancer, fiddler, dance instructor and accomplished piano player. She has played alongside musicians such as Natalie Macmaster, Shane Cook, Paul McKenna, The Fitzgeralds and is a member of the Canadian Open Champion stepdance group “UnReel”; who placed as a finalist in the CNE’s 2019 Rising Star Talent Competition. In 2018, she was on Natalie MacMaster’s “A Celtic Family Christmas” TV special and most recently, her sister dance duo “The McCairley Sisters” danced alongside the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony and the International Symphony Orchestra for their hit performance “A Celtic Crossing”.
