About the event
At Solstice, as the nights grow longer and the days colder, the sun pauses its movement on the horizon. Just when we are in our darkest days, the sun stands still. Solstice comes from the Latin - sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still). Watching what's happening in the world, it can appear that we are descending into darkness. We may not see a way out and wonder how long we can hold on in the darkness. Our ancient Celtic ways can show us how to face darkness. How to weave strands of connectedness to help us hold on. They show us how to look to where the light will return, holding the spark of hope in the faith that, as the world turns, light will return. Please join us for a solstice gathering where we will face the darkness together and seek the light to return in our personal and collective lives.
